Sunday

Can I get away with only photos today? It is late and I am hugely tired and so I'll let you be responsible for the captions! The context: beautiful early spring day, family gathers, food appears, Snowdrop shows off, family leaves, Snowdrop stays, Snowdrop leaves. There! The rest is yours!

I think we can all agree -- it's been a full day!

For the commenter asking for the recipe for the pistachio cake, here is the link. Do note that it is a dense (rather than light an airy) cake. And it takes a long time to bake (recipe says 1.5 hrs, mine took 1.75)! But the flavors are grand!
It's this one, from Bon Appetit, 2012.

  1. It's always interesting to note how very intense/intent your younger daughter is on Snowdrop. I wonder what she's thinking. Maybe she's amazed that her sister could produce such a little miracle? I don't know but her intensity makes me smile.

    1. She also looks intense making a salmon salad!
      Isn't she a beauty?

  2. There's grass showing... amazing! And so is Snowdrop's activeness! Love her look, all bundled up in the stroller and watching over the sippy cup.

  3. How kind of you to put up that link for me/ for us on your busy day! I'll make it later this week when my husband comes home from Washington.

Snowdrop is really a frisky girl!! Future athlete perhaps?

I'm so glad you had an ideal family day! So did we, blue sky and all... tomorrow I'll send you a pic or two or three :)

    Grammas rock!
