And I'm off!

I'll be in Scotland, thinking quiet thoughts, watching sheep graze, pulling up the zipper on my rain jacket, eating smoked salmon fro breakfast and thinking nothing of having a dram of whisky when an occasion presents itself. Scotland -- where mosquitoes are replaced by midges, oatmeal by porridge, and where walking is constrained by no one,  limited only by the boggy turf.

I'll write next when I get there.

  1. So many people think of escaping the dog days of summer...to Wisconsin :) and points North.

I look forward to your pastoral photos from Scotland.

    1. Shhh! Don't tell them about our mosquitoes! Just standing still to take those two morning photos was beyond unpleasant. But, it's a brief bug season and fall in Wisconsin is nearly always spectacular.

  2. Fans in Boulder county Colorado will miss daily updates about the wee lassie. That's the wee one who looks quite fetching in red!

    1. I miss that wee lassie as well! But, there is the joy of a reunion coming up in some ten odd days!
