just curious
How would you describe/title (any or all of) the three photos below? They’re from this morning, from the Westside Community Market here in Madison.
I’ve come up with stuff: two-toned… or, all that glitters is not gold… but all that’s rather conventional. And, actually, quite revealing. Surely, there are other ideas out there?
If you have thoughts, pass them on. Comments are fine, but, as always, email is great for the shy at heart.

sunshine on earth
ReplyDelete1. Happy Valley Farm (Kate & Kevin Lucey) of Black Earth's heirloom tomatoes.
ReplyDelete2. Black Earth Valley Produce (Dan Dineen) of Mazomanie's oyster mushrooms.
3. Hard to tell: probably Prairie Farm Produce ( Gerald & Marlene Platt) of Oregon's sunflower, but maybe from Natalie's (Natalie Platt Ortega) of Oregon, or ten possible others. The bees are probably overflow from those that hang around Stella's pastry, but their hive location is still unknown at this writing, but certainly within range of the west side or Shorewood. Since Westside market rules require all items for sale to be locally produced, the insects thereupon are guaranteed local as well.
Barry (winking)
For the last one, how about "Architects of Icarus's wings" or "Icarus's sting"?
ReplyDeleteThree comments, all wiser than the photos deserved. Barry, you are ahead of truth itself but Anothony, I have to say, you strike a chord. And not only because I have such sweet sentiments toward Greece and her islands within spittin' distance of the Icarian Sea. More on that come May.
ReplyDeleteCopy editing - where would the truthsayers be without it? The mushrooms were grown by Dan Deneen. -Amy
