in few words

There is no better way to say it: the day is a blur. Maybe I can recreate the feeling of panting (you know, as if I were jogging my way through the day) by writing in words rather than sentences? Let me try:

Up... admire sunshine and especially flowers...

 Warsaw-3.jpg

Oh, sweet apartment of mine! In, out, gone tomorrow.

Warsaw-1.jpg

To the cafe...meet with the extraordinary Karolina (apartment designer) over breakfast... (eyes closed with laughter)

Warsaw-8.jpg

There is no such thing as a Warsaw bakery without meringues...

Warsaw-9.jpg

Sunny? Cloudy? Can't decide.

Warsaw-10.jpg

Check bus schedule for tomorrow's airport bus. Photo: of people at said bus stop, waiting.

Warsaw-13.jpg

Back to apartment, run out with sister. Shopping for evening party gifts. Buy bourbon because, you know, US threatens tariffs! Ha ha! (EU threatened retaliation by taxing bourbon and Harley Davidson motorcycles.)

A break: at Rabarbar over tomato soup.

Warsaw-23.jpg

Brave souls lingering outside... It's 9C (upper 40sF) and windy.

Warsaw-25.jpg

Who lives here? me.

Warsaw-15.jpg

Flowers, vegetables, pussy willows...

Warsaw-19.jpg

My life has had many very long walks with my sister. Today we added another.

To the park!

Warsaw-31.jpg

Yes, that one. (Lazienki)

Warsaw-35.jpg

Empty benches still...

Warsaw-38.jpg

Paths followed, in childhood, in adulthood...

Warsaw-37.jpg

Getting late. Hurry now... Flowers again...

 Warsaw-42.jpg

Definitely sunshine... Or maybe not?

Warsaw-44.jpg

So tempting to buy a babka for Easter. But the freshness date is max five days...

Warsaw-45.jpg

Home for a second, clean up, head out to friends.

Dinner! Great food, sweet hosts, long stories, as if we hadn't told any in years!

Warsaw-3-3.jpg

(cheesecake, anyone?)

Warsaw-7-2.jpg

It's been years! (Actually just a few months.) Can't stop now!

Warsaw-12-2.jpg

So late? How can that be??

Uber waits.

Home.

And tomorrow, right after breakfast, I leave.
