windy
The winds blow this way and the winds blow that way. April can be a difficult month.
But you know, we need a different marker of warmth than a simple temp reading and a wind chill factor. In April, cold and windy does not feel bad. It feels like I need an extra sweatshirt. I can live with that.
At the market, the vendors may have had a different take on the weather. If you sit in the wind for six hours you feel... the wind.
Me, I took the bike out and it felt like the day could not go wrong.
Until it did.
And then it recovered.
April is tricky. Did I say that already?

The wind. Argh! It was stupid. It ruined our farmer's market experience. Little G sat bundled in his wagon the whole time. No fun, even when we got the maple candy.
ReplyDeleteBugs and wind ruin idyllic nature experiences. I'm not alone in this. The mom next door concurs. Take out wind and bugs, and the outdoors are a fine place to be.
"And then it recovered."
ReplyDeleteYou never fail to see the beauty. It's one of the reasons I so enjoy visiting your sights and writings here so often. It's not just that you notice or even look for the beauty in life.. but that you so often see it amidst the wrong of life..
An optimist you are. Hopeful. Sympathetic. Inspiring. Encouraging.
A true artist.
Who says you can't see the wind? I see it in your photo. Not many can depict that.
