november fields
What’s left of this month anyway? Whose walking those bare fields now, when it’s cold but not cold enough for snow? Muddy hills, wilted, shriveled leftovers. If it weren’t for Thanksgiving, who here would care about November?
Still, it’s kind of pretty now. From a distance. If the light is just right.

While California burns, we decompose.
ReplyDeleteSpectacular picture, Nina. You're absolutely right about the light.
ReplyDeleteI, for one, love the end of November since it includes both my birthday and my dad's. See, it's not such a long, dreary month!
Gorgeous photo! One of your best, I think.
