Madison coffee break

Five minutes and I’m no longer behind my computer screen, I am here. Five minutes!

And twenty-five minutes later, I am back behind the computer. Well, with a brief detour for a coffee and a baguette.

Madison, however little it offers in terms of warmth (during winter), offers fantastically easy access to a breath of fresh air, just when you need it most. Early in the day, in the middle of the night, before sunrise, at dusk. Or at noon.

Now all you people in warmer weather places – aren’t you just a tiny bit jealous?

That’s okay. We’re getting an Arctic blast again tomorrow. All this outdoor reverence will go away soon enough.

  1. Looks to me like a baguette by La Baguette. Try the boule.

  2. Who ever said winter is dark and colorless? Your gorgeous photos say 'au contraire'. Winter is full of reds, oranges, yellows, greens, blues, indigos, violets -- a rainbow of colors just waiting to be noticed by the artist's eye.

Your beautiful weather of the past few days arrived in the Detroit area today. Lucky us!

  3. Nina, your photos make me want to put away my stand up paddle board and go cross country skiing with you! Though, I must say, it doesn't look nearly as chilly as I imagine from the warmth of my desk.

  4. The baguette looks like a real french one! And I am an expert, I am french. Not sure we can find baguettes like this one here in Ogden, Utah. Makes me feel a little bit home sick, though.
