taking off
What a surprise: the work got done (though not until early this morning), the small carryon got packed (later this morning), the house is tidy and waiting (okay, it's always tidy)...
...for my return some ten days from now. Ed’s staying home – he and I will travel together after Christmas. For the trip to Poland, I’m traveling with my good friend (and fellow blogger!) Diane and her husband Ernest – or at least part of the travel will be together as we’re all flying from different points and through various connecting cities.
Good-bye bare fields of early December – you looked sublime this morning as the sun was crawling up behind clouds at dawn.
Good-bye huge sky of the Midwest...
Good-bye almost completely yellow farmhouse with the holiday lights hung carelessly over the doorway.
Tomorrow’s post should be from Poland.
