on finding the going to be icy
Icy tones, brittle surfaces, sharp edges, slippery surfaces. How unpleasant!
Some people are not bothered. Snow? No problem. They soldier on.
Me, I’m bothered. I know, I know. It’s not as if there’s one huge iceberg out there.
Not even bergy bits.
Indeed, even the little lake remains fluid.
I noted this driving to work from the airport. I’ve made a lot of trips to the airport lately. Daughters coming and going – that kind of thing.
Looking at the lake and shore from the east is lovely if you’re used to always gazing at it from the lake path on the west. I like the change.
Still, it’s cold out there. Absence of birgy bits notwithstanding.

well, you should have a baguette while the bergettes in the lake gather.
