days of work, cont'd
I see myself as the kid who can't go out to play because some authority figure has decided that there's work to be done. No break for you, buddy. Stay home and clean your room.
From a predawn wake up, 'til now, I grade.
Here we are, a photo from breakfast -- note not how I eat breakfast, but how Ed's chin is finally free of the Santa beard. I tidied him up for our trip just before we sat down to our various foods.
Then, I take breaks only to stare outside, wishing I could be there, rather than here, on the couch, buried under papers. The snow is coming down again and the world looks fresh and clean beneath its soft new cover.
Ah, the world of the outdoors. I miss it so!
Back to my books, notes and papers.

I think this is the first time we have seen Ed without his beard, He is handsome with and without it. Wishing you both a wonderful trip nd a very Happy New Year.

dande -- Thank you for the wishes (and, too, the very beautiful card). A happy, healthy New Year to you both!
ReplyDeleteOn the beard front -- in truth, I leave a quarter inch growth, so it's not as if he's beard-free, but with the years, the hair has grown lighter and so it creates the illusion of being clean shaven!
I can't catch my breath in between trips, Nina! You just got home and I was just settling into some nice views of winter in Wisconsin, and now you're where.......??????? Oh my. Here we go again...
